CathWorks is focused on innovating and disrupting how cardiovascular disease is diagnosed and treated, and this plays a critical role in setting the vision for our product pipeline and leading the execution of that vision.

As the Head of Upstream Product Management, will lead a team of upstream product management professionals and define the strategy, roadmap and partner portfolio for CathWorks. She or he will work closely with R&D, Quality, Regulatory, Biomedical, and Marketing teams.

Experience with world-class product management tools and techniques – including Agile Product Development – and demonstrated leadership and coaching capabilities will be equally important for success in this role.

 

Job Responsibilities

  • Collaborate closely with the CathWorks Executive Leadership Team, including President & CEO, to define short-term and long-term innovation strategy
  • Develop and maintain deep, intimate knowledge about CathWorks customers (Patients, Caregivers, Clinicians, Payers), competitors and value drivers for CathWorks
  • Define and lead market research and other discovery activities to uncover valuable unmet needs
  • Manage discipline around measurement and reporting of success, including Key Performance Indicators, for each product.
  • Apply disciplined business analysis and strategy to ensure that we focused on the most important opportunities
  • Supervise, train and mentor a team of upstream product managers. Motivate the team members and assess their performance.
  • Take a leading part in defining the strategy and tracking the product roadmap execution
  • Supervise the translation of the product roadmap into actionable R&D user stories and agile sprint planning
  • Manage prioritization of ongoing scrum team tasks, including goals setting, acceptance criteria definition, SW defect handling and enhancement opportunities, based on impact analysis and deep user experience understanding
  • Lead the SW release process, including release content management and documentation
  • Lead the collection of VoC from customers and physicians globally through the following channels to analyze and prioritize the backlog and future roadmap:
    • Direct and consistent communication with Downstream Product Managers globally, and other relevant commercial team members
    • In-person and virtual interactions (including site visits) with global commercial sites and Beta sites
    • Analysis of Big Data collected from deployed systems in the field
    • Formal and informal market research and customer feedback
    • Analysis of market trends in clinical practice and in hospital technology
  • Lead and track the commercial release limited launch flow and performance, and communicate necessary feedback to R&D
  • Collaborate with other cross functions teams: SW, SW QA, Algorithms, Biomedical, Downstream Product Management, Sales Training, Strategy, Quality and more
  • Works on abstract issues where analysis of situations or data requires an in-depth knowledge of the company.
  • Participates in corporate development of methods, techniques and evaluation criteria for projects, programs, and people.
  • Estimated global travel requirement of up to 20% of the time
  • Report to VP R&D and Site Leader and dotted line reporting to Head of Global Strategy & Advanced Analytics

Job Requirements

  • At least a B.Sc. in engineering or B.A. in life sciences. An MBA and/or PHD in BioMedical Engineering is preferred.
  • Minimum of 7 years’ experience, including at least 5 years as a Product Manager
  • Experience in leading product management teams in medical device or high-tech/software industry
  • Experience in writing high level and detailed specifications
  • Experience in customer facing tasks and training
  • Deep UX/UI understanding
  • Experience working in an Agile development style
  • Proven ability to influence cross-functional teams without formal authority
  • Experience working with global teams
